Drumbó is where it all started for adventure travel in Iceland and this where we at Arctic
Rafting´s have based our operation for the Hvítá River in South Iceland since 1983. We
operate our bestselling trips from here; river rafting: “
River Fun” and
canoeing:
“
River Ride”. All our
combination day tours from Reykjavík stop here and eat lunch
before going white water rafting.
From Drumbó there are daily rafting and canoe tours from the 15th of
April to the 1st of October. In high season from the 15th of May to the
11th of September we run two trips a day, one at 10:00 AM and one at
14:00 PM. A lunch buffet is served from 12:00 to 13:30, remember to book your lunch when you book your rafting tour!
After sharing a house with the local farmers we moved into our own base camp right next door in 1997 and since then adventurers, Icelandic and foreign have
been visiting this cozy countryside boathouse and it´s now famous
DrumBar Restaurant.

In Drumbó we have great facilities for welcoming any visitor. Changing
rooms, hot-tubs and showers are just some of the services offered there.
We also have a restaurant which serves a great Icelandic summer
barbeque for groups, sizzling lamb and baked potatoes a speciality, and
the bartenders serve you cold beer while you relax in the hot-tub!
Drumbó is situated 10 minutes from Geysir Hot Springs and Gullfoss
Waterfall, just a one hour drive from Reykjavík.
