Arctic Rafting is Iceland´s oldest river rafting outfitter, we began our day trip river rafting operation on the Hvítá River in South Iceland in 1983 and are still running trips on this exceptional river! Our now legendary

River Ride white water canoeing tour have long since achieved a special place in the hearts of Icelanders and of course thousands of visiting adventurers. We have guided more then 150.000 people down the river in our more then 25 years of river tours, many have gone more then twice, some much more then that!
Our South Iceland river rafting base camp Drumbó (the full name is Drumboddsstaður) is located only 100 km (approximately 1hour) from Reykjavík. The base camp has great location, just 10 km from the Geysir Hot Springs and the Gullfoss Waterfall (which is actually just above our starting point). This convenient location makes it supremely easy to combine your visit the Golden Circle sight seeing route with a river rafting or canoeing tour down the Hvítá.
We offer daily departures from the 15th of May to the 11th of September at 10:00 and 14:00 from Drumbó, and if you choose ride with us from Reykjavík then the pick up is either between 8:30 to 9:00 AM or 12:00 to 12:30. If you plan to visit the Golden Circle on your own then the 14:00 departure fits perfectly into the time schedule and you can book your lunch at the base camp before the trip. If you are traveling around Iceland from the 15th of April to the 15th of May or after the 11th of September to the 1st of October then we do run trip during that time but the minimum number of participants is higher, send us a email or give us a ring to see if we have some trip running.
